Terminal operations

  • Cartagena, CO: potential double calls for this weekend
  • Barranquilla, CO: berthing restrictions due to low draft ongoing

Port Operations:

  • Buenaventura, Colombia: SPRBUN container berthing Line 100% available, yard occupancy 60%
  • Cartagena, Colombia: Berthing Line at 100% availability, Contecar slightly decreased occupancy level to 86% and SPRC increased to 76%. Terminal proposes double call for GCS vessel this Sunday.
  • Barranquilla, Colombia: Berthing Line 100% available. Draft again in 9.2 without daylight restrictions but only for vessels <200 mts.
  • Guayaquil, Ecuador: Yard utilization at 60%. Due to ongoing nationwide protests, export shipments are being affected as their containers are not arriving at established CY cut off. Import shipments also delayed due roadblocks in interstate roadways.
  • Posorja, Ecuador: Yard utilization 30%. Due to ongoing nationwide protests, export shipments are being affected as their containers are not arriving at established CY cut off. Import shipments also delayed due roadblocks in interstate roadways.
  • Caldera and Puerto Limon, Costa Rica: Terminal Vessel Operations normally working, however a cyber-attack to Government Customs System took place since week 17 and many tasks are manually performed. This causes delays at gates for in/out cargo. Route 32 in Costa Rica is closed again due to landslides provoked by the high volume rains in the zone, this is affecting the exports and imports to Puerto Limon, Costa Rica.
  • Caucedo, Dominican Republic: Berthing Line 90% available. Yard occupancy 86%.
  • Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala: Pass restricted to one lane, km 15 of Pacific Highway affected by pavement sinking.
  • Puerto Santo Tomas de Castilla, Guatemala: Fall of bridge continues to affect El Salvador exports through GSTC port. Although there alternative routes, still causes problem for containters to reach port on time. One crane out of service. No forecast to come back in operation.
  • Puerto Cortés, Honduras: Pass restricted to one lane, km 15 of Pacific Highway affected by pavement sinking.
  • Puerto Principe, Haiti: Customs strike, vessels working on time.
  • Manzanillo, Panama: MIT berth number 5 has underwater diving for preventive and corrective maintenance works in the dock infrastructure until the second quarter 2022.
  • Valparaiso, Chile: Limited capacity (only 4 cranes working). Yard utilization is 52% app.
  • Port Callao, Perú: Delays of vessels due to bad weather and congestion in previous ports. APM Terminal: Yard utilization at 45%. DPW Terminal: Yard utilization at 58%.
  • Port Manzanillo, Mexico: Yard utilization at CONTECON 65% - SSA 75%.
  • Veracruz, Mexico: Terminal Yard utilization at ICAVE 90%. High density in yard and congestion at ICAVE TERMINAL due to an increase of volume/TEUS handled, which causes a lack of trucking availability.
  • Lazaro Cardenas, Mexico: Terminal yard utilization LCT 75% APMT 46%.
  • Altamira, Mexico: Yard Utilization at IPMT 90%
  • Ensenada, Mexico: Yard utilization at EIT 85% . High density in yard and congestion at EIT TERMINAL which causes a lack of trucking availability.
  • Mazatlan, Mexico: Yard utilization 24%

  • Nothing to report

Trucking availability   

  • Mexico: trucking services delayed due to port congestion at several locations
  • Ecuador: ongoing nationwide protest against govermment causing road blocks and road transport delays for cargo reception, dispatch at terminals, and customer premises.
  • Costa Rica: Route 32 closed due to landslides. Pickup/delivery moves delayed.
